Desa Dairy Farm Kundasang

Visitors are welcome to see cows being milked and milk processing and packing activities (at certain time/day) besides enjoying the weather. Visitors can buy the Desa Fresh Milk and a range of souvenirs and also have attractions and activities especially for children like bottle-feeding calves and young dairy goats.

Kundasang War Memorial

The second world war led to a massive loss in terms of lives. This memorial is to honour the Australian and British soldiers who were kept as prisoners of War. Also, a few Bornean nationals lost their lives in this very place trying to help these prisoners of war. This place is surrounded by 4 gardens namely, the Australian garden, the English garden, Borneo Garden and the contemplation garden.

Upside Down House

The Upside Down House will literally turn your world upside down. The attraction features a traditional. Sabah ‘kampung’ house with a living room, bedrooms, a toilet, kitchen and veranda, all upside down! Being the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, this architectural wonder has also been included in the Malaysia Book of Records. Best of all, the place is wheelchair-friendly!

Mesilou Highland Strawberry Farm

Mesilou Strawberry Farm not only strawberries, but vegetables, herbs, flowers, plants and a gift stall. The staff are very friendly and helpful to show around. Although there are not plenty but they did have a great morning browsing through, plucking some of the fresh strawberries.  There is a children playground, swings, water fountain and sculptures for photo takings.

Fresh Market

The valleys in and around Kundasang have rich soil that supports farming conditions. Fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, etc are the key farming produce of this land. The town of Kundasang is a local hub for farmers and traders for selling their farm produce. 

The array of colorful stalls displaying the freshly harvested products in the Kundasang Market is a sight to behold.

Green Connection Aquarium

Sabah Tea Garden

Sabah Tea is the only organic tea farm in Borneo and one of the few in the world. A trip to the tea garden is both educational and fun, one where visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as obstacle-crossing in the Sapaon Recreational Area, trekking along the trails to the peak of Kamunsu Hill or embarking on a night walk to check out the unique insect life.

89 Station Restaurant

89 Station is one of the few places that offers “tai chao” style dishes that features quite a variety of dishes, including wild boar, deer, ostrich, and more. The menu came in the form of a giant blackboard on the wall, and the server is pretty well-versed in Mandarin, Cantonese, English, and probably several other languages. The quality of food is well above average.

SS Chinese Restaurant

They serve the best authentic Chinese food in Kundasang. The chef has more than 20 years experience serving in many Chinese restaurants in different part of Malaysia. Mee Tuaran, sweet & sour pork, tomato scrambled eggs and butter chicken are their signature dishes.

Restaurant Syah Adilah

Restoran Syah Adilah is a humble eatery that serves Chinese-Muslim dishes such as mee udang, dry butter prawn, sweet and sour chicken and bihun goreng. To stay warm in the chilly Kundasang weather, enjoy your meal (and hot tom yam soup) at the restaurant’s indoor seating area.

Balsam Buffet Restaurant

The Balsam restaurant only serves buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The buffer menu is mainly continental and local food.  The best seats of the restaurant are those allocated at the balcony where guests will find themselves very close to nature.

Restaurant Panataran

Restaurant Panataran is not going to win any awards for its decor, but on a clear day a stunning view of Mount Kinabalu is a beautiful backdrop to your bowl of noodles. The menu is extensive with Malay, Chinese and a handful of Western meals.
